Good news everybody!! Portland’s original food cart spot Cartopia will live on … for two more year at least!

The owners of food outlets in the popular cart pod, at Southeast 12th Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard, received word Wednesday they’ll be able to stick around on the spot for at least two more years.

That comes four months after the sale of the property that holds Cartopia sounded like a death sentence for one of the city’s first non-downtown cart pods, and certainly its most influential.

The Jade District celebrates its successful Jade International Night Market

The Jade International Night Market drew five times as many Portlanders as organizers expected. The four-weekend night market was a pilot project for the Jade District, which centers around the intersection of Southeast Division Street and 82nd Avenue. The market was held in the Fubonn Shopping Center parking lot.

Pearl District Restaurants Cooking for a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis

Today is the start of the Pearl’s week long dining event benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! Enjoy signature food and drinks at each of the listed restaurants participating in Savor the Pearl while helping support finding new treatments to help those suffering from CF, a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States.
