Stumptown Events

http://www.stumptownevents.com/

There are two important things to get done here. First, is to introduce you to Stumptown Events if you haven’t already been. Second, is to tell you about their next event, which will be a part of the Portland Wizard World Comic Con.

There isn’t a lot of background information on Stumptown Events, but I suppose that’s not really important. They do use their events to benefit local charities. They’re finishing their website right now, and they’ll be able to provide you with more of the “About” stuff if that’s what you’re after. What’s important for you to know, is that their Facebook page is a great place to find really awesome things to do that tend to end in the words, “con” and “crawl.”

They’ve been responsible for Portland’s SantaCon and the Superhero Pub-Crawl, and are planning FantasyCon, BunnyCon, and LepreCon—the last sounding like a mutation of some illness that appears to be Leprosy on first inspection. These events are a blast, and there are always a lot of awesome Portlanders to meet.

Their next event will be FantasyCon. This event will be Saturday, January 25th at 5:30pm, and is the pub-crawl and official after party to the Portland Wizard World Comic Con.

The WWCC is January 24th-26th (check their site for times). You’ll need tickets, so get on it. Stan Lee, William Shatner, and Bruce Campbell will be there. I’m not sure what else you’d need to know, other than Stan Lee is going to be there.

If you’re looking for something nerdy in all the best ways, go check out WWCC. And for other fun events in Portland, go “like” the Stumptown Events Facebook page.
